A 30-year-old Delaware County estate tucked deep into the trees has hit the market for nearly $5 million.

Built in 1994 on Plantation Road about 5 miles north of Sunbury, the brick Colonial-style home sits at the end of a half-mile drive on 63 heavily wooded acres.

"The overall ambiance of the property is one of seclusion, luxury, and a deep connection to nature," said Terra Shoaf, the Keller Williams Consultants Realty agent who is listing the home for $4.89 million .

Visitors enter the 7,241-square-foot home through a two-story foyer. To one side is a formal dining room, the other a den. Behind the foyer is the family room, which opens to the eat-in kitchen with custom cabinetry including on the refrigerator. Off the kitchen is a butler's pantry with a sink, range and dishwasher.

A wing on the first floor is devoted to an expansive cathedral-ceilinged media and entertainment room.

The first floor also contains an office and a 1,400-square-foot guest suite including a kitchenette, living room area and separate entrance.

Upstairs are four bedrooms including the primary suite.

Hardwood floors and extensive wood trim and built-ins can be found throughout the house, which also includes new lighting and a fresh coat of paint.

A second wing is devoted to a four-car garage.

Below the house sits a full basement built of 10-foot poured foundation walls with epoxy-coated floors.

A 2,600-square-foot paver patio extends across the rear of the home and includes multiple seating areas, a fireplace, gazebo and outdoor kitchen, "all with panoramic views of the woods surrounding the home," said Shoaf. A walk leads to a paved firepit circle.

A road leads to a barn built in 2019 that also includes living space.

A stocked pond and trails can also found on the property, which is adjacent to a 58-acre preserve.

"The proximity to these protected areas provides opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and other outdoor activities right at your doorstep, including your own pond for fishing," Shoaf said.
