    Due to ZIP codes becoming hotspots for home buyers, a study by Realtor.com created a list of the hottest ZIP codes of 2024. These ZIP codes show heavy buyer demand, and the houses in these locations don’t stay on the market for long.

    Gahanna earns the No. 1 spot on the list for the second year in a row

    Gahanna, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, is the hottest place in the country for home buyers for a second year in a row.

    In the first half of this year, the average price of a home in Gahanna was 11% less than the metro average and 19.4% less than the national median.

    Gahanna offers a great lifestyle and quality-of-life for a portion of the expenses of other large cities. Not only does Gahanna have affordable homes, but it is just a couple of miles from Ohio’s biggest city, Columbus. Columbus offers numerous amenities and activities and is great for foodies and sports lovers.

    Additionally, multinational businesses such as Intel , Honda , Google , Amazon and other big companies have started construction on multibillion-dollar projects in the state that could lead to thousands of new, well-paying jobs.

    The most valuable houses can be found in the Midwest and the Northeast parts of the U.S., according to the Realtor.com study. These houses tend to be larger, close to metro areas, and prices are at or below the median compared to the rest of the U.S.
