Pabst Blue Ribbon, established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and currently based in San Antonio, Texas, has been around since 1844. The brand has won numerous awards, including the blue ribbon for “America’s Best” at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition.

A Bavarian immigrant named Valentin Blatz founded the Blatz Brewing Company in Milwaukee in 1851. Its beer is currently produced by the Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee, under contract for Pabst.
