Following an injury to Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning got the first bit of extended action in his college football career on Saturday as his Texas Longhorns hosted UTSA.

    He did not disappoint.

Manning inherited a solid situation. By the time he entered the game, the Longhorns were already up 14-0 and were positioned to score again. He quickly cashed in on that scoring chance, hitting DeAndre Moore Jr. on a 19-yard touchdown pass.

The following series, it was Manning’s legs that did the damage. Manning faked a handoff to running back Quintrevion Wisner, pulled the ball in and ran 67 yards for a touchdown.

With the game out of hand, Manning was eventually pulled. But before getting taken out of the game, he was 9-for-12 passing, connecting on four touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Manning’s stellar performance caught the attention of the college football world on Saturday night.
