A Memphis-based food manufacturing firm is relocating its corporate headquarters from a local mall to a popular mixed-use development in Midtown.

Monogram Foods will be moving its corporate headquarters, also called its support center, from Oak Court Mall to Crosstown Concourse . Monogram Foods is scheduled to move into its new Crosstown space in the spring of 2025.

Monogram Foods will move into the sixth-floor space of Crosstown that was previously occupied by Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare . Monogram Foods Chairman and CEO Karl Schledwitz told The Commercial Appeal that Monogram Foods signed a 10-year lease in Crosstown.

Why is Monogram Foods leaving Oak Court Mall?

For the past eight years, Monogram Foods has occupied 50,000 square feet in the Oak Court Mall office building. However, Schledwitz said Monogram had been looking for a new space in Memphis for almost two years. Crosstown proved to be the right fit among other options in Shelby County. Schledwitz noted Crosstown provides Monogram more than 53,000 square feet of space on one floor.

“We’ve enjoyed our time here in Oak Court,” Schledwitz said. “As a lifelong Memphian, I’m excited about the future redevelopment of Oak Court , but that’s potentially a few years away. The reality is we are now spread out over six offices in one building on four floors. We had outgrown this space.

"We were looking and we found almost a unicorn, which is a building that allows us to all be on one floor. That combined with the energy and diversity and all the amenities that Crosstown brings it became a no-brainer.”

The company’s new office in Crosstown will offer employees access to a variety of on-site amenities, including health and wellness services, dining, retail and entertainment options, as well as enhanced security features, according to Monogram officials.

“The employees are really excited about (the move to Crosstown),” said Anna Rodriguez, executive vice president and chief people officer for Monogram Foods. “We figured a good portion of them would like it, but we were surprised at how many have been really positive about the move. Many of them have gone to visit Crosstown Concourse to see what it's going to be like there. I think there’s a lot of excitement about it.”

New Crosstown Concourse space to help with Monogram Foods' future growth

Monogram Foods currently has about 160 employees in Memphis. Schledwitz said the expanded space at Crosstown will help accommodate Monogram’s growing workforce.

“We feel another advantage is this (new) space will grow into it,” he said. “We are a growth company, and we have some pretty aggressive growth plans over the next couple years. This space will allow us to accommodate over 200 team members.”

Schledwitz noted Monogram has hired Memphis architecture firm Looney Ricks Kiss (LRK) to redesign the space to its specific needs and expects about a six- to seven-month timeframe for the space to be converted for Monogram.
