A group of British social media influencers just had their lives changed by the incredible flavors at The Bar-B-Q Shop in Memphis .

Josh Carrott and Ollie Kendal have been traveling across the country to learn what all the hype is about surrounding American cuisine. Their channel name, Jolly, is a portmanteau of their names — Josh and Ollie. The friends try foreign flavor combinations and showcase their reactions to the world across social media platforms. So far, the pair has tried everything from classic chain restaurants like Bojangles to local barbecue spots in Texas. They came to Memphis to experience the No. 1 pork ribs in America, according to Food Network .

Carrott's and Kendal's reactions are hilarious throughout the video as they excitedly try The Bar-B-Q Shop 's signature glazed ribs, barbecue pork sandwich, baked beans and more.

Restaurant owner Eric Vernon makes a couple cameos in the video to introduce the guys to Southern favorites and proper decorum: We don't eat our ribs with forks and knives down here.

"We're not used to meat being soft enough to rip it apart without a knife," Carrott said as he watched a piece of his rib fall off the bone before he could grab it.

The commentary only gets funnier, including when Carrott says: "This spaghetti has more flavor than the average English person has in a month."

MEMPHIS BARBECUE: We tried The Bar-B-Q Shop's glazed ribs for the first time. (We've been missing out!)

In the days since the video was first posted to YouTube, business has picked up for the Midtown restaurant. A video clip on X already has more than 14 million views. Vernon told The Commercial Appeal that some of his regular customers who swear by his wet or dry ribs have stopped back in to try the glazed versions that set the British bloggers a tizzy.

"It's been amazing," Vernon said. "People are excited from the video and to find out the ribs really are that good. ...

"It's a feel-good moment, and you really have to rely on those feel-good moments as a restaurateur."

Vernon wants that feeling to extend throughout the city, noting the hard work that goes into running a restaurant.

"If there are any other restaurants that you love, give them some energy," he said. "They need that [energy] to keep going. That love does that for me, and I know it does for other business owners, too."
