Born on Feb. 1, 1968, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of musician and rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley .

Lisa Marie’s parents separated in 1972, when she was just 4 years old, and the couple finalized their divorce a year later. Lisa Marie would split time with her mother in Los Angeles and her father in Memphis.

Lisa Marie was 9⅟₂ years old on Aug. 16, 1977, when Elvis Presley died in Memphis.

Upon her father’s passing, Lisa Marie became one of the heirs to the Presley fortune — along with her grandfather Vernon Presley and grandmother Minnie Mae Presley. After Vernon’s passing in 1979 and Minnie Mae’s death in 1980, Lisa Marie became her father’s sole heir. She officially inherited the Presley estate in 1993, when she turned 25 and later sold 85% of the estate in 2004.

Following Lisa Marie's death on Jan. 12, 2023, actress/filmmaker Riley Keough — the oldest of Lisa Marie's three daughters — is the sole trustee of late mother's estate and is the owner of Graceland, the Memphis mansion bought by the King of Rock 'n' Roll in 1957.
