    Hey Coshocton County: Here’s what you need to know to start your week

    COSHOCTON − A Dog Paddle Day will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Lake Park Aquatic Center, 23253 Ohio 83. Cost is $5 or one may make a donation of cat or dog food or other pet care items. All donations will benefit the Coshocton County Animal Shelter. The event is sponsored by the Coshocton Veterinary Association. All dogs must be under control of owners, humans can only wade into the shallow end of the pool as lifeguards won't be on duty and one must clean up after their dogs.

    FRESNO − A pasture walk by Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Travis Hahn Farm, 23794 County Road 93, Fresno. Goad production will be highlighted. For more information, call 740-622-8087, ext. 4, or email ryanmedley@coshoctoncounty.net.

    COSHOCTON − Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce will have a Coffee and Commerce event from 8 to 9 a.m. Aug. 28 in the cafeteria of Central Ohio Technical College, 200 N. Whitewoman St. The topic will be current trends in financial scam and frauds with Jay McLaughlin, Karen Bell and Karen Wright.

    PLAINFIELD − The last ever Plainfield School reunion will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Schumaker Picnic Shelter, 52441 County Road 16, West Lafayette. Doors open at noon. The program will be honoring previous graduates with all attendees able to share their most important memory of attending Plainfield School. Reservations for the meal by Schumaker Farms is due by Sept. 5 by calling Carol at 740-622-1922, or submitting the received reservation letter.

    COSHOCTON − Three Rivers Bassmasters recently held its eight club tournament of the season on the Muskingum River at Coshocton with seven members competing. Joe Cunningham won with 2.61 pounds and had the big bass at 1.74 pounds. Second was Jim Eckelberry with 2.01 pounds and Joe Stevens was third with 1.57 pounds.
