WATERLOO — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is on schedule to complete its Highway 89 resurfacing project on schedule.

WIS-89 has been closed between Waterloo and Columbus for the project since it began April 8. Pending another week of good weather, the highway is expected to re-open Tuesday or Wednesday, according to WisDOT’s 511 site for project updates.

During the course of construction, vehicles have been routed from Waterloo through Marshall on WIS-19 and then north to Columbus on WIS-73. The total cost of the project was initially slated for $2.7 million in state funding.
