Cardinals sweep Marshland Invitational
Marshall’s promising start to the 2024 high school track & field season continued on Thursday, April 25. Waterloo City Band announces first rehearsal, summer schedule
The Waterloo City Band will kick off our 2024 season with the first rehearsal on Wednesday evening May 8. The Marshall baseball program has been forged from fire in the early portion of the 2024 season. Entering the week of April 22, the Cardinals had already lost to three teams ranked in the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA) top-20: New Glarus (No. 10, Division 3), Columbus (No. 19, Division 2), and Deerfield (No. 19, Division 3). The 2024 season didn’t start exactly how the Marshall softball team had hoped. The Cardinals, reigning champions of the Capitol — South conference with a WIAA regional to their name the season prior, started the year ranked No. 9 in Division 3 of the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (WFSCA) coaches poll. VFW to host burger fry
The Waterloo Marshall VFW will host its burger Fry May 2 starting at 4 p.m. Members will serve 1/3-pound sirloin burgers with fries at the VFW monthly through October. The post is Krause-Langer VFW Post 6614 is located at 115 S. Monroe St. in Waterloo. Future burger fries will be held June 6, July 11, Aug. 8 and Oct. 3. It will not be held in September during Wiener and Kraut Days.
Waterloo track & field hosts home conference tri
The fickle Wisconsin springtime weather allowed for plenty of competition last week. While the weather wasn’t exactly sunny and 75 degrees, Waterloo’s track & field program was able to open its season with a home Capitol Conference traingular, inviting Marshall and Cambridge, on Tuesday, April 9.
