Marshall Scholarship Foundation participated in the high school’s scholarship awards night on Wednesday 5/22/2024. Scholarships awarded totaled over $102,000 with $65,700 of those scholarships facilitated by Marshall Scholarship Foundation. Watertown Regional Medical Center named a 'Great Community Hospital'
WATERTOWN — Watertown Regional Medical Center was one of 100 hospitals included in the 2024 Becker’s Hospital Review listing of “Great Community Hospitals” released on May 22. Watertown Regional was one of only seven hospitals from Wisconsin to make the list. This is the second consecutive year that Watertown was included. Marshall junior Brady Stensven’s return to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) state meet was even better than his first. Meat raffle to benefit Waterloo VFW
A meat raffle planned for June 6 at Hubbleton Taproom and Grill will support the Waterloo VFW. Heritage Country Farms will provide the meat. The raffle will begin at 2 p.m. at the taproom location, W7071 Main St., Watertown. The VFW will continue with meat raffles July 11, Aug. 6 and Oct. 3.
Waterloo Legion to host weekly car shows, burger nights
Fridays at the Waterloo American Legion Post 233 are Car Show and Burger nights this summer. Starting June 7, the bar will open at 4 p.m. with food served from 4-7 p.m. Burgers, along with brats, chicken tenders, fries and onion rings, will be served every Friday through Sept. 27. Car shows will run from 5:30-7 p.m. with a drawing at 7 p.m., weather permitting, through Aug. 8. No pets or carry-ins are allowed. The American Legion Post is at 9250 State Rd 89.
