    Fresh off the market: Here’s a look at 5 Louisville homes recently sold in 40220

    Nearly 1,300 homes were sold in the greater Louisville area in April, a figure relatively unchanged from the same month last year.

    Prices, however, were up nearly 7%, to a median of $277,000 in April, up from about $260,000 in April 2023, according to data from the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors .

    Looking at the 40220 ZIP code, more than two dozen homes sold in April, according to real estate website Zillow .

    The area is roughly marked by Interstate 64 to the east, Six Mile Lane to the south, Klondike Lane to the west and Interstate 264 to the north. It includes the Hikes Point, Houston Acres, Hurstbourne Acres, Meadowview Estates, Highgate Springs, and St. Regis Park communities.

    Here’s a look at a handful of homes that sold in the 40220 zip code, listed by price, in April:

    3618 Taylorsville Road

    Sold April 18 for $220,000

    The red-brick, one-story home in Highgate Springs includes hardwood floors and a large basement. It was built in 1956. A one-car garage is situated in the backyard.

    “With a little TLC this home could shine,” read the listing by David Blandford of United Real Estate Louisville .

    The home was listed for sale in March at $215,000. It last sold in 2012 for just shy of $120,000.

    Sold on April 30 for $325,000

    The renovated Cape Cod style home in the Hikes Point area features a new kitchen, updated bathrooms and new flooring.

    Built in 1954, the home has an open concept layout and includes a main bedroom with a private bath and large closet as well as a flex space can be used as a fifth bedroom.

    The property was listed for sale at $300,000 in early April by Rachael Holden of Homepage Realty . It last sold in December 2023 for $220,000.

    4608 Stormon Court

    Sold on April 5 for $342,500

    This St. Regis Park home, built in 1972, sits on a nearly half-acre, cul-de-sac lot.

    Updates include a newer roof and gutters, updated kitchen appliances, new main-floor windows and a remodeled primary bathroom, according to the listing.

    The home's family room has a vaulted ceiling, overhead wooden beams, and a gas fireplace.

    The property includes a partially finished basement, a 2.5-car detached garage and storage shed, and a side patio off the family room.

    Katie Bosse with United Real Estate Louisville listed the home in late February for $345,000. The home was last sold in 2001 for nearly $150,000.

    2711 Trumpetvine Road

    This home in the Hikes Point area, which sits on the end of a cul-de-sac road, was built in 1991. Featuring a large great room with a wood-burning gas fireplace at the center of the house, the home also includes eat-in kitchen space, a formal dining area, and a primary bedroom situated in its own wing.

    A pulldown attic stair offers access for storage, and a walkout finished basement, which most recently was used as a short-term rental, has a full kitchen, bedroom and separate entry.

    The home’s exterior features a two-story deck, privacy fence, two-car garage, patio space and large parking pad.

    Recent upgrades include a radon mitigation system, addition of a second kitchen, refurbished deck, new windows and a remodeled basement bathroom, according to the listing.

    The home was listed by Danielle Baise of White Picket Real Estate in February for $415,000. It last sold in 2017 for $252,000.

    8100 Stonyrun Court

    Sold on April 9 for $440,000

    This two-story brick home on a cul-de-sac lot features a vaulted foyer, living room gas fireplace, walk-in kitchen pantry, large primary bedroom walk-in closet, and formal dining room.

    Built in 1998, the house also includes a partially finished basement with a television area, office and workout space as well as a partially covered deck and backyard.

    The home, listed by Patti Beard with Nest Realty, hit the market in March for $435,000. It last sold in 2022 for $405,000.
