More than 10,500 athletes will float along the Seine River in Paris for the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics Friday.
Rather than athletes marching along a track as typically seen in years past, guests and those watching from home will see a colorful river parade through the French capital city. The outdoor concept is expected to be the largest Opening Ceremony in terms of audience and geographical coverage, according to the Olympics' site.
