The 2024 Kentucky State Fair is in swing and plenty of other festivities are taking place around Louisville this weekend, but will weather conditions hold up?

What is the forecast in Louisville?

The National Weather Service predicts scatted storms Saturday afternoon with possible severe winds and hail. The seven-day forecast said southwest winds of 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph possible after 2 p.m.

Saturday night shows a 40% chance of showers and storms primarily between 9 and 11 p.m. with west winds of 5 to 9 mph.

The NWS predicts a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m. Sunday with likely showers and a possible thunderstorm after. Northwest winds of 5 to 9 mph are expected with a 60% chance of precipitation.

Sunday night shows a 60% chance of precipitation, northwest winds near 7 mph, and likely showers and a possible thunderstorm before 8 p.m. Skies are expected to clear up Monday morning.

Louisville Metro Emergency Services said locals can sign up to receive emergency alerts by texting "LENSAlert" to 67283.
