Cell phones in school made me quit teaching.

Great article " Should students have phones in school? Some Louisville parents, educators say no. "

One of the reasons I stopped being a part-time teacher was the inability to keep students from using their phones. It wasn't just that it was a distraction, it actually prevented some students from learning. The straw that broke my back was when a student told me, "why should I learn anything, I'll always have my cellphone and I can just look it up!" Then he proceeded to tell me I was old school and should get with it.

He failed the closed book / no cellphone tests.
