    When do students get a break? Here's the calendar of days off for JCPS, Oldham County schools

    The first day of school for students in Jefferson County and Oldham County is already in the books, and some might be wondering when they can take a break.

    Children are in luck, since Labor Day is coming up, which means a long weekend. Afterward, they can look forward to the fall break, and before they know it, winter break will arrive.

    Here are off days for Louisville and Oldham County students:

    Days off in September for JCPS students

    Monday, Sept. 2: Labor Day

    Sept. 30 : Family-teacher conferences

    Days off in October for JCPS students

    Oct. 1: Professional development

    Oct. 2-4: Fall break

    Days off in November for JCPS students

    Nov. 4: Professional development

    Nov. 5: Election Day

    Nov. 27-29: Thanksgiving break

    When is winter break for JCPS?

    The winter break for Jefferson County Public Schools students is from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, according to the school district calendar.

    When do Archdiocese of Louisville students have a break?

    Here are days when students of schools that are part of the Archdiocese of Louisville can have a break, according to the 2024-2025 calendar:

    Monday, Sept. 2: Labor Day

    Oct. 11-14: Fall break

    Nov. 27-29: Thanksgiving break

    Dec. 23-Jan. 3: Christmas break

    Days off in September for Oldham County Schools students

    Monday, Sept. 2: Labor Day

    Sept. 27: Staff work day

    Days off in October for Oldham County Schools students

    Oct. 21-25: Fall break

    Days off in November for Oldham County Schools students

    Get a break, schools just started back. Need to be worried about learning and the bus transportation system. Kids are rapping about when is my bus going to pick me up for school instead of learning how to read and write. Lol 🙃
