If you like overtime football games, the Louisville area was the place to be Friday night.Courier Journal writers covered three games: St. Xavier at Male, Frederick Douglass at Manual and DeSales at Kentucky Country Day.Each game needed an extra period to settle the score. For the second time in his career, Bulldogs star Antonio Harris completed a 2-point conversion pass to put a dagger into rival St. Xavier.

Harris, a University of Louisville commit as a cornerback, rolled left and found tight end Andrew Vrbancic in the back-left corner of the end zone for a 2-point conversion that gave Male a 35-34 overtime victory over St. Xavier on Friday in a battle of Class 6A powers.

"I love this team!" the Crimsons' first-year head coach shouted after his team’s 35-28 OT victory against Frederick Douglass.

For KCD football , it wasn’t how the Bearcats started but how they finished.
