Taylor Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris after the presidential debate .

    Here's what she said.

Taylor Swift leans into being a 'childless cat lady' in her endorsement

For her endorsement post, Swift shared a photo of her and her cat, Benjamin Button, from her TIME Magazine 2023 Person of the Year cover shoot.

She signed her endorsement post "Taylor Swift Childless Cat Lady," which is a dig at Trump's running mate, vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance. He previously called Harris and other democrats "childless cat ladies" as an insult.

'I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice' Swift explains why Harris and Walz have her vote

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," Swift wrote. "I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."

She also speaks highly of her running mate, Time Walz, in her endorsement.

"I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz , who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades," Swift wrote.

She then encourages her followers to do their own research on candidates ahead of the election.

"I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice," Swift said. "Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make."

Swift addressed the AI images of her endorsing Trump

Last month, Trump shared AI images of Taylor Swift that showed her and her fans endorsing him for president. He later claimed he didn't know anything about them.

Swift addressed the AI images in her endorsement post.

"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site," Swift wrote. "It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation."

Swift continued "It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."

Swift reminds her followers that they need to register to vote

"I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered!" Swift said on Instagram.

Kentucky voters must be registered by Oct. 7 to vote in the November general election.
