From 'The Crown' to 'The Bear,' Here are the 2024 Emmys nominees and how to watch the awards

Your favorite shows could win big on Sunday during the biggest night in television.

The winners of the 76th Primetime Emmys will be revealed exactly eight months after the 75th Primetime Emmys were presented on Fox, which were postponed by last year's writers' and actors' strikes .

FX's "Shōgun," adapted from James Clavell's novel of the same name, earned top billing with 25 nominations. The network's restaurant dramedy "The Bear," which released its third season last month, cooked up 23 mentions, setting a record for the most nominations by a comedy series in one year. Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building" and HBO's "True Detective: Night Country" trailed closely behind with 21 nominations and 19, respectively.

In January, FX's "The Bear" and HBO's "Succession" tied for the most wins with six awards each. But the dysfunctional family drama ended in spring 2023, leaving the field open to succeed the Roys as best drama.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are slated to air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Who is hosting the 2024 Emmys?

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy of "Schitt's Creek" were tapped to host, making history as the first father-son duo to do so, according to USA TODAY.

“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough," The Levys said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”
