If you're having trouble checking your email this morning, you're not alone. Multiple Microsoft applications weren't working Thursday morning, according to the technology company.

    Here's what we know.

Is there a problem with Microsoft 365 today?

Yes. Upwards of 20,000 users reported Microsoft 365 outages Thursday morning on Downdetector.com .

Downdetector shows tens of thousands of Microsoft users impacted

Downdetector , which monitors website outages based on user reports, showed roughly 24,000 people were experiencing issues with Microsoft 365 as of 9:45 a.m. Thursday morning. Reports of trouble with Microsoft 365 began at roughly 7:30 a.m.

Microsoft Outlook appeared to be affected the most, according to Downdetector, accounting for 76% of the reported problems.

Is Microsoft aware there's a problem?

Yes, they are. The company issued a statement on social media Thursday morning, which reads:

"We're investigating an issue where users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services. Please look for MO888473 in the admin center for more details and further updates."

    Why is Microsoft not working?

At 10 a.m. EST, Microsoft officials posted a statement on social media saying "a change within a third-party ISP's managed-environment resulted in impact" to its applications.

Software engineers may have found a solution. The ISP "reverted the change," officials said, adding that services appeared to be improving.
