A building that houses a popular Bardstown Road restaurant is for sale.

The Joy Luck building at 1285 Bardstown Road in the Highlands was listed for sale on Kentucky Commercial Real Estate Alliance on Sept. 4.

The listing price for the property is $1.2 million.

The property features the Asian fusion restaurant, a large patio, and a second-floor apartment that is used as a short-term rental, according to the property listing.

The restaurant plans to remain open and does not intend to close, Louisville Business First reported . In a Facebook post on Sept. 14 , Joy Luck showcased a fall-inspired cocktail — a vanilla vodka special — that will be served this season.

The 2,900-square-foot retail space is listed by Daniel Guillory with Avista Realty.

Just a couple of doors down at 1279 Bardstown Road, the former Time & Space bar and music venue is currently awaiting city approval for demolition. If approved, the venue, which was damaged in a 2018 fire and never reopened, would become a mixed-use building, which will include a ground-floor restaurant and patio and two 1-bedroom apartments and three 2-bedroom units at the rear, the Courier Journal previously reported .
