Oldham County Tourism is bringing a "botanical adventure" to the commonwealth with the Kentucky Garden Trail , featuring 12 locations across nine counties.

According to the organization, visitors are encouraged to document each location from gardens to monuments to historic sites with a program passport by collecting stamps at each of the tourism offices. Participants can also win rewards after visiting six of the 12 spots and again when completing the passport.

“The trail is an exciting collaboration of nine tourism offices across the state who came together to showcase the fantastic gardens throughout the Bluegrass, including those recognized as some of the best in country,” Kim Hydes, executive director of Oldham County Tourism and trail project lead said.

Yew Dell Botanical Gardens Executive Director Paul Cappiello said the trail will be a vital experience for commonwealth tourists.

“The Kentucky Garden Trail will serve as a tremendous resource for visitors to the Bluegrass State as well as those who call Kentucky home,” he said. “It provides expertly curated access to a tremendous diversity of plants, garden styles, educational opportunities, and experiences that help to make Kentucky a great place to live and visit."
