    The nominees for this week's Courier Journal girls athlete of the week delivered on fields, courts and courses.

    Voting is underway for The Courier Journal's girls athlete of the week. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

    Here are the nominees:

    Ava Reid, Male soccer

    Freshman Ava Reid scored four goals and recorded two assists in Male's victory over Whitefield Academy.

    Emma Lindemoen, Sacred Heart golf

    Senior Emma Lindemoen shot a 1-under-par 71 to win the Region Six golf championship for the third consecutive year.

    Kaylee Hammond, Portland Christian volleyball

    Sophomore Kaylee Hammond recorded five kills, 32 assists and nine digs in Portland Christian's 3-1 win over Eastern.

    Autumn Abell, Presentation volleyball

    Senior Autumn Abell recorded 10 service aces, 17 assists and 10 digs in Presentation's 3-0 win over Francis Parker.

    Caroline Flowers, Kentucky Country Day field hockey

    Junior Caroline Flowers scored five goals in KCD's win over Male.
