Kentucky native Will Smith shines in Game 4 of NLDS to help Dodgers defeat Padres

Former Louisville baseball star Will Smith crushed a two-run home run in the top of the third inning in Game 4 of the NLDS to help propel the Los Angeles Dodgers to victory over the San Diego Padres .

The Dodgers were trailing in the series, 2-1, entering last night's matchup; they beat the Padres 8-0 to force a Game 5.

Smith's home run was his first hit in the series, and it couldn't have come at a more opportune time.

Los Angeles will host Game 5 of the series on Friday at 8:08 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.
