Central football channels inner Muhammad Ali after big win over top-ranked Christian Academy

Head football coach at the school that produced Muhammad Ali , Marvin Dantzler did his best “Louisville Lip” impersonation following his team’s biggest win of the season.

Central scored touchdowns on all seven of its first-half possessions and stunned visiting Christian Academy , 48-28, on Friday in a battle of Class 3A powers.

The Yellowjackets won six Class 3A state titles from 2007-18, and Dantzler believes it’s past time to hang another championship banner at Ty Scroggins Stadium.

“We wanted to send a message to the entire 3A class that it comes through Muhammad Ali (Boulevard),” Dantzler told our Jason Frakes . “It comes through us. There was a point we ran this class. We’re back. We’ve been gone a little while, but we’re back.”

DeSales football has had a solid start to its season, going 6-2.

The Colts, however, received an added boost Friday. Senior Marshall Miller returned from injury and sparked DeSales en route to its 36-0 home victory over Jeffersontown .
