Evansville third-grader enters Guinness World Record books

An Evansville Day School student has set a new Guinness World Record in an unconventional category.

Louisa Royer, 8, is a third-grade student who was recognized for being the youngest drone videographer in the United States. Her school surprised her with a rally and a plaque.

Her interest in drone videography began at a young age, and from there, she took off to hone her passion for technology and storytelling through videography.

School officials state that her unique eye for capturing stunning aerial footage is what got her the prestigious recognition. This last August, the young videographer submitted her film, " Dangerous Plants ," which shows drone footage from her travels with family in Hungary and Romania.
