    There were several standout individual performances across Southwestern Indiana. Who gets your vote?

    Each week you can vote for both the Courier & Press football Player of the Week and fall sports Athlete of the Week. The latter will be for fall sports not including football. Below you will find the football poll and brief info on each performance followed by the same for the fall sports poll.

    You can vote as often as you'd like until 10 a.m. CT Friday morning. The nominees from August 19-24:

    Week 1: Courier & Press high school football power rankings

    Courier & Press high school football Player of the Week

    Ty Brown, South Spencer: The senior quarterback had six total touchdowns (four rushing and two passing) in a 40-7 win over Tecumseh.

    Tyler Fetter, Forest Park: The senior amassed 166 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries in a 21-6 win over Princeton.

    Dylen Kendrick, Memorial: The junior ran for 62 yards and one touchdown in addition to five receptions for 103 yards and another touchdown in a 37-6 win at Jasper.

    Gavin Leach, Castle: The senior linebacker had 16 total tackles (team-high nine solo), a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a 51-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 14-11 win at North.

    Luke Lindsey, Vincennes Lincoln: The senior passed for 137 yards and three touchdowns plus converted five two-point conversions (three rushing and two passing) in a 44-8 victory at Bosse.

    Hunter Meredith, Heritage Hills: The senior had 182 total offensive yards and three touchdowns in a 43-14 win at Southridge.

    Courier & Press Fall Sports Athlete of the Week

    Ivan Bennett, Memorial: The junior midfielder had five goals, including four against Reitz, in two victories for the No. 1 Tigers.

    Aidan Engelbrecht, North: The senior had five goals, including four against Vincennes Lincoln, and one assist in two victories.

    Peyton Geer, Evansville Christian: The junior had seven goals and one assist in wins over Forest Park and North Posey.

    Eli Kunst, Day School: The sophomore striker had six goals and one assist in three games during the River City Classic.

    Taylor Martin, Reitz: The junior recorded a hat trick for the Panthers in a 3-2 conference win over Jasper.

    Katelyn Marx, Tecumseh: The senior totaled 26 kills, 31 digs, 46 assists and 13 aces in three victories for the Braves.

    Carlee Rogers, Jasper: The senior totaled 37 kills, 31 digs and 43 assists across three victories while also eclipsing 1,000 assists for her career.

    Abby Shires, Memorial: The junior was the individual medalist at the Tony Blessinger Invitational with a 77 at Buffalo Trace.

    Corinne Stevens, Gibson Southern: The junior had seven goals (five against Boonville) and two assists in a pair of conference victories.
