IHSAA reveals new baseball and softball sectional assignments for Southwestern Indiana

EVANSVILLE — One of the final pieces for the 2024-25 athletics year was announced on Wednesday.

The new baseball and softball sectional assignments, which are for this school year and the next, revealed multiple changes coming to Southwestern Indiana. Most were expected due to how the Indiana High School Athletic Association now classifies schools in its four-class sports or success factor points. Host sites will be determined by athletic administrators in each sectional this fall.

Here are the baseball sectional assignments for schools in the Evansville area:

• Class 4A Sectional 16: Castle, Harrison, North, Reitz
• Class 3A Sectional 31: Gibson Southern, Jasper, Princeton, Southridge, Vincennes Lincoln, Washington
• Class 3A Sectional 32: Boonville, Bosse, Central, Memorial, Heritage Hills, Mount Vernon
• Class 2A Sectional 47: Barr-Reeve, Eastern Greene, Linton-Stockton, North Knox, South Knox, Sullivan, West Vigo
• Class 2A Sectional 48: Mater Dei, Forest Park, North Posey, Perry Central, Pike Central, South Spencer, Tell City
• Class 1A Sectional 62: Loogootee, North Daviess, Orleans, Shoals, Vincennes Rivet
• Class 1A Sectional 64: Cannelton, Evansville Christian, Northeast Dubois, Springs Valley, Tecumseh, Wood Memorial
