EVANSVILLE – Your annual longshot chance of getting rich is back.

The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival officially opened for its 103rd year on West Franklin Street. And with that comes the WSNC's Half Pot.

    Here's where it stands today.

How much is the Fall Festival half pot up to?

As of 11 a.m. Monday, the half pot stood at $235,550 .

    Where was the total Sunday?

Pre-fest ticket sales started Oct. 3. Just this weekend, the total jumped from around $45,000 to more than $200,000, WSNC wrote on its Facebook page.

    How high will it get?

Last year's grand total hit around $1.8 million. Nut Clubbers hope to top that this year.

How do I buy tickets? And how much are they?

Multiple booths will set up down West Franklin. Here's the pricing breakdown:

    • 3 tickets for $10
    • 20 tickets for $20
    • 50 tickets for $40
    • 150 tickets for $100

You can pay with cash or, for the first time ever, with your credit or debit cards. The drawing of the winning ticket is slated for Oct. 12.

    Who won last year?

Since the half pot started in 2019, all of the winners have remained anonymous. The totals, which range from $1.2 to $1.8 million, are reportedly split between the winning ticketholder, the Nut Club, and area nonprofits.
