EVANSVILLE – The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival's half pot took a huge leap between Wednesday and Thursday, jumping by 48% in a little more than 24 hours.

How much is the Fall Festival half pot up to?

As of noon Thursday, the half pot stood at $ 897,850.

How much has the total climbed over the past 24 hours?

By the largest amount so far this week. At midday Wednesday, the Nut Club put the total at $604,780 . That means the total surged by almost $300,000 – $293,070, to be exact – in just one day.

    How high will it get?

Last year's grand total hit around $1.8 million. Nut Clubbers are hoping to top $2 million this year.

How do I buy tickets? And how much are they?

Multiple booths are set up at intersections along West Franklin Street. Here's the pricing breakdown:

    • 3 tickets for $10
    • 20 tickets for $20
    • 50 tickets for $40
    • 150 tickets for $100

You can pay with cash or, for the first time ever, with your credit or debit cards. The drawing of the winning ticket is slated for the evening of Saturday, Oct. 12.

    Who won last year?

Since the half pot started in 2019, all of the winners have remained anonymous. The totals, which range from $1.2 to $1.8 million, are reportedly split between the winning ticketholder, the Nut Club, and area nonprofits.
