John Stasa, 75, Swanton, appeared for sentencing on a charge of attempted false voter registration, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was fined $1,000. The charge was amended from false registration, a fifth-degree felony, while five counts of illegal voting, each a fourth-degree felony, were dismissed.
