Defiance common pleas

Romerol Lawrence, 55, Stryker (CCNO) appeared for sentencing on a charge of failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony; according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office. He was given 24 months in prison with credit for 50 days served in CCNO while his case was pending.

Brock Clemens, 33, Continental, pleaded no contest to assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was found guilty and placed on probation for two years.

Jenna Jones, 37, 639 Summit St., pleaded guilty to endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was placed on probation for two years.

Kenneth Lee Jr., 38, 210 Summit St., appeared for sentencing on charges of attempted abduction, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on community control for three years with conditions.

Holly Becker, 43, 4132 W. Rolling Meadows Boulevard, pleaded not guilty to grand theft, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for March 11 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Maurice Burrell, 27, Detroit, pleaded not guilty to improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle; and receiving stolen property; each a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for Feb. 20 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Amber Couts, 41, 265 E. Broadway Ave., pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and bond was continued. Sentencing was set for March 28.

Anthony Noto, 47, Hicksville, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was set for March 11 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Isaiah Schultz, 19, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to strangulation, a fourth-degree felony; domestic violence, and endangering children, each a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was set for March 11 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.
