NAPOLEON — A Henry County grand jury has returned indictments against five persons, according to Prosecutor Gwen Howe-Gebers’ office.

    Indicted were:

    • Daniel Lane, 36, Fayette, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and two counts of domestic violence, each a third-degree felony. The charges stem from a domestic dispute on July 20 when he allegedly caused serious physical harm to a woman. A second domestic violence charge alleges physical harm to a female juvenile. The domestic violence charges are elevated due to Lane’s three previous domestic violence convictions.

    • Elmer Gamble, 37, Deshler, for four counts of sexual battery, each a third-degree felony; and gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony. He allegedly engaged in sexual conduct and sexual contact with a 15-year-old juvenile on several occasions.

    • Amanda Koppenhofer, 35, Hamler, for failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. She allegedly fled from a law enforcement officer’s attempted traffic stop on Aug. 2, and was operating a vehicle while under the influence.

    • Nicholas Scott, 41, Liberty Center, for domestic violence, a third-degree felony.

    • Leon West, 40, McClure, for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony.
