Fulton County grand jury returns indictment on drug-related death

WAUSEON — A Toledo woman was indicted here in Fulton County Common Pleas Court for allegedly causing the drug-related death of another person.

Angela Robertson, 45, is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, first- and third-degree felonies; corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony; reckless homicide, a third-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and permitting drug abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor.

The charges alleges that on Sept. 6-7 Robertson recklessly caused the death of another person as a result of committing, or attempting to commit, the felony offense of corrupting another with drugs and the misdemeanor offense of permitting drug abuse. (The two counts of involuntary manslaughter relate to one victim, but offer separate charging options under Ohio law.)

The indictment also alleges that she possessed cocaine and furnished the drug to the victim or induced, or caused, the victim to use cocaine and thereby caused that person serious physical harm or to become drug dependent.

Additionally, the indictment alleges that she permitted her vehicle to be used for the commission of aggravated possession of drugs.

An attempt Wednesday to secure more details from the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office was unsuccessful.

Among others indicted by the same grand jury were:

    • Becky Rhodes, 44, Wauseon, for tampering with records, a third-degree felony.

    • Draven Wheeler-Hartson, 21, Wauseon, for failure to comply with the order or signal of a law enforcement officer, a third-degree felony; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. • Luis Vazquez-Cruz, 25, Wauseon, for failure to comply with the order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. The charges allege that he fled from a law enforcement officer’s attempted stop on Sept. 8 and operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

    • Adelaido Hernandez Cruz, 28, Wauseon, for forgery, a fifth-degree felony; tampering with records, a third-degree felony; tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; and two counts of OVI, each a first-degree misdemeanor. He allegedly possessed a fraudulent Mexican ID card on Sept. 8 and operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
