The condition of trailers in a northside mobile home park has prompted action from Defiance City Hall again, but the owners have fired back with a lawsuit. Mobile home damaged by fire Thursday night near Malinta
MALINTA — A fire Thursday evening damaged a mobile home near here. Monroe Township-Malinta Fire Department was called to the scene at H-908 Township Road 10, south of Ohio 281, at 8:31 p.m. Thursday. The trailer was located about four miles southwest of Malinta and just north of County Road H. Firefighters monitored via radio scanner traffic reported upon arrival that they saw a “structure fully involved.” The mobile home was believed to have been unoccupied at the time of the fire. Marion Township-Hamler Fire Department also was called to the scene for mutual aid. The property is owned by Robert Norden, according to the Henry County Auditor’s Office website.
