Christopher Landwehr, 51, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to attempted disrupting public services, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was modified. Sentencing was scheduled for May 6. Caden Webster, 21, Fort Wayne, pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape, each a fifth-degree felony; and eight counts of gross sexual imposition, each a third-degree felony. Bryan man enters not guilty plea in attempted murder case
BRYAN — A Bryan man has been arraigned in Williams County Common Pleas Court on an attempted murder charge and three other felonies. Jacob Pettit, 39, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, a first-degree felony; two counts of strangulation, second- and third-degree felonies; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Thursday and his bond was continued. He was being held Thursday in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. The indictment alleges that on Feb. 3 he attempted to cause the death of another person, and caused serious physical harm and the substantial risk of such harm through strangulation. The domestic violence charge alleges that he caused, or attempted to cause, physical harm to a family or household member, having been convicted previously of domestic violence.
Fostoria man placed on intensive probation in amended sexual abuse case
A Fostoria man was recently placed on intensive probation in Defiance County Common Pleas Court after pleading guilty to an amended indictment in a sexual abuse. Shawn Quigley, 53, Fayette, appeared for sentencing on charges of trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, a fourth-degree felony; theft, a first-degree misdemeanor;and criminal damaging or endangering, a second-degree misdemeanor.
