Airlines now Required to give Automatic Refunds of Tickets and Ancillary Service Fees
The Biden-Harris Administration announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has issued a final rule that requires airlines to promptly provide passengers with automatic cash refunds when owed. The new rule makes it easy for passengers to obtain refunds when airlines cancel or significantly change their flights, significantly delay their checked bags, or fail to provide the extra services they purchased.

NIPSCO Announces 2024 Environmental Action Grant Recipients
On the occasion of Earth Day, NIPSCO has revealed the 21 nonprofit organizations selected as winners of the 2024 Environmental Action Grant. These grants will be instrumental in advancing environmental restoration projects and educational endeavors throughout northern Indiana. The funding stems from contributions by NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation.

Black figurines of pimps, racists texts, made hostile workplace for ‘unlawfully’ fired employee, state commission rules
FORMER LABORER LOCAL One Business Manager Bobby Peak (far left) is pictured at a LIUNA event with other union members. One text message contained a photo of a skin-clad Black woman offering sex. Another text shows a Black man captured on surveillance camera after he robbed a bank. There were also Black figurines of a Black pimp with exaggerated features and Black minstrel musicians. Then there’s the text message showing a television weatherman rubbing a large cartoon image of a penis while giving the forecast.
Indiana state senate incumbents face few election challengers in upcoming primary races
Several Republican senators are additionally seeking federal office but can remain in the Statehouse if unsuccessful. Although half of Indiana’s state senate seats are up for re-election in 2024, the races are so far dominated by an overwhelming number of incumbents — most of whom are running unopposed in the May primary.
