FAIRVIEW, Ala. – After earning a massive, triple overtime win at Russellville a week ago, the Aggies returned to Dafford Smith Stadium Friday night and capped a week of homecoming celebrations with a 48-21 win over Priceville. The win also secured a Region 7 Championship for the Aggies.

Fairview struck first when Jace Stevens took a jet sweep and ran it in from 5 yards out to put the Aggies up 7-0. Stevens wasn’t satisfied with the offensive score and decided to add one on defense as well, intercepting a Priceville pass on the ensuing possession and returning it for a touchdown to make it a 14-0 game. The Bulldogs responded with a scoring drive of their own to cut the lead to 14-7 but Aggies running back Jake Harper answered with a 35-yard touchdown run to keep Fairview in front 21-7 with less than two minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Conner Scott scored on a screen pass from quarterback Kolt Redding to make it a 28-7 game early in the second quarter and on the next Aggies possession, Harper took a handoff 55 yards to the end zone for another touchdown to give Fairview a 34-7 lead over Priceville. A 9-yard touchdown pass from Redding to Zayden Cruce in the final minute of the period gave the Aggies a 41-7 advantage at halftime.

Fairview tacked on another touchdown early in the third quarter to extend its lead to 48-7. The Bulldogs found the end zone for a pair of touchdowns later in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the early lead and the Aggies kept their win streak alive with a 48-21 win over Priceville.

Fairview improves to 6-0 with the win and the Aggies will be back home next week to play Sardis.
