The National Hurricane Center is forecasting a “historic” rain storm for the next several days. Cities and counties throughout Coastal Georgia, plus the State of Georgia, have declared a State of Emergency. The Current staff is keeping track of emergency information and passing it to you. Health departments close
All clinics and offices of the Coastal Health District will close at noon on Monday, Aug. 5, and we expect to re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8. This includes all health departments in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties. Updates to these closures will be reported promptly.
Anyone with a clinic appointment previously scheduled during the closure will be contacted to reschedule.
