High Taxes, getting support from county tax dollars, community growth regulations.
Tell us what your priorities would be in the first 100 days of office?
Let’s try to get the public educated on why the taxes are so high. All across Liberty County there needs to be a good road dept. schedule put in place.
What, in your opinion, makes you uniquely qualified to serve your constituents and what sets you apart from your opponents?
Experience! I am the Project Manager for TFW at Ft. Stewart and HAAF. I have set standards and goals for both bases. Our contract is a FIRM FIX contract. We come from a govt. cost plus contract. I have implemented ideas that are working to keep us compliant. I oversee and manage Water/Wastewater, Refuse, Central Energy Plant, Pest Control and Roads and Grounds Dept. I stay involved with what is going on, I am a person always trying to find solutions for problems.
What are your plans to improve services for your constituents?
Hold county officials and employees accountable. Make sure they are doing their best to perform their job duties.
Have you read the budget for your office or board – Yes or No? What priorities would you change?
Yes, as much as I am allowed to read. I would like to freeze the overspending. We the commission need to take a serious look at where the county tax dollars are going. One question to ask the commission, do we really need all clerical workers that are employed?
It appears that there is a person for this, then a person for the same job just a bit more educated and maybe even one more. If they are really needed, then good but if not let’s trim off the excess personal. At the same time there are areas that appear to be understaffed.
What steps should Georgia take to improve quality of life for your constituents?
State of Ga. DOT could step up their game. State roads need ditches and culverts maintained better. Most recent flooding this issue was evident. Traffic lights are needed at several intersections across Liberty County. Just 2 examples for District 4: Leroy Coffer Hwy. 196/Freedman Grove/Pate Rogers and Ga.Hwy. 17 at Limerick/Freedman Grove.
How do you feel you can improve public safety in your role if elected?
I would stay after the local commission and the state of Ga. for their help in taking action to solve the current safety issues in Liberty County. By the way the Sunbury Bypass project in my opinion is great. I believe this has helped tremendously with traffic safety.

I will listen to ideas and weigh out the information. I like to go by facts.

Transparency is very important. My phone number will be made available, and I have no problem talking to anyone or meeting them.

My love for Liberty County. I hope to make a positive impact on Liberty County with the help of my constituents.

The district that I represent is rural with many miles of dirt roads. Trying to maintain and/or pave them have been my biggest challenge

Attempting to secure more funding to address our dirt roads
What, in your opinion, makes you uniquely qualified to serve your constituents and what sets you apart from your opponents?
I’ve lived in our district all of my life and am familiar with the entire county. Am also familiar with most of the residents in one way or another.
What are your plans to improve services for your constituents?
Continue to work on our infrastructure, roads mainly, but dirt roads in the district in particular

We’ve done a respectable job with the county budget for the upcoming billing cycle. I feel that the residents will be pleasantly pleased to see the work that we have done in that regard

Affordable housing is becoming more and more of a dilemma more recently. Tax breaks and incentives for developers would help

To work with our law enforcement agencies where applicable to assure that we are doing the best to keep our residents safe

I’ve been responding to all calls, emails and other contacts that I’ve had with residents. I make it a priority to answer to everyone who contacts me and answer all inquires with honesty and truthfulness

The same as was my driving factor when I first embarked on this journey; to be of service to the residents of Liberty County and do all that I can in my capacity as an elected official to help improve the quality of life for the residents of our county
Ok to a buy a gun legally there is a background check. People can buy guns illegally with no checks. The biggest deterrent is strong punishments if a life is taken without self defense the death penalty should be added automatically. No bail should be offered. Also strengthen self defense if someone breaks into someone else’s house they have every right to shoot you.
