Lafayette-Area High school football: Live score updates and more from Week 6

High school football teams in the 337 are deep into district play as we hit Week 6 of the 2024 season.

Last week, 20 teams hailing from Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas came away with a victory. Northwest had one the largest margin wins over their Week 5 opponent Pine Praire where the Raiders won 54-7. This put the Raiders at 1-0 in district play rounding out the 14 other area teams who hold a perfect district record so far. Some teams will be kicking off district play this week.

The undefeated teams entering the midway point of the season are Teurlings Catholic, Vermilion Catholic, Ascension Episcopal, Jeanerette, and St. Edmund. The Rebels are the highest-ranked undefeated team ranked No. 7 in Louisiana.

While those teams are winning, other teams are still on the hunt for their first victory of the season. Comeaux, Loreauville, Eunice, Breaux Bridge, and Abbeville are the winless area teams in Week 7 still looking to crack that goose egg.
