The Fairway Foundation, a local group formed to help veterans and first responders, partnered once again with the Tunnel to Towers Organization (T2T) on July 6, for their third annual golf benefit. The event was held simultaneously at sister courses Northwinds and Northwinds Peninsula at Indian Lake. This year's outing raised $29,000, drawing 59 foursomes to the event.

In the foundation's first outing in 2022, $12,000 was raised for T2T and $17,000 in 2023. Interest in the event continues to grow in leaps and bounds requiring next year's outing to be held on two days, July 5-6, with 9 a.m. start at both courses both days.

T2T supports programs which honor first responders and military personnel who make extraordinary sacrifices every single day.

    • The Foundation’s Smart Home Program builds mortgage-free smart homes for our most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
    • The Fallen First Responder Home Program pays off the mortgages of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty that leave behind young children.
    • The Gold Star Family Home Program honors the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.  The Foundation will provide a mortgage-free home to surviving spouses with young children.
    • The Homeless Veteran Program aims to eradicate veteran homelessness by providing housing and services to veterans who are homeless across America.
