From vintage clothing, jewelry, quilts and furniture to baseball cards, coins and other collectibles, there's likely something for everyone's interest at the 53rd annual Somerset Antiques, Artisans and Ales show Saturday in uptown Somerset.

The show takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, along the streets closest to the county courthouse. Admission is free, and there is free parking available in the county parking garage on E. Catherine St., said Sandy Berkebile of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce .

    'There's something for everybody'

"It's a quality show. The dealers say we usually have a good buying crowd, so they like to bring their better items and there's a variety of items (to buy)," Berkebile said, noting that there are about 50 vendors registered to participate this year.

"Local businesses should be open regular hours, and some places may open earlier than usual for breakfast," Berkebile said.

The Somerset Historical Center is bringing its "What's It?" table again this year, and they are also planning to give a demonstration of antique craftsmanship for those who stop by, Berkebile said.

"It's a good atmosphere around the courthouse," she said. "It's a fun day."
