Boys soccer

North Star 3, Berlin Brothersvalley 1: Parker Scherer tallied two goals and Canyon Deaner added one to guide the Cougars past the Mountaineers.

Stasi Musselman, Bryce Frombach and Gavin Stout were each credited with an assist.

Colton Miller scored for Berlin.

Athlete of the Week polls Vote for the Daily American Somerset County Athlete of the Week for Sept. 23-27

Somerset 5, Richland 0: Josiah Antram and Declan Egal each contributed a goal and an assist for the Golden Eagles in a shutout of the Rams.

Cole Johnson, Kahne Foltz and Isaiah Armstrong each scored a goal. Hoyt Emert had two assists and Jonathan Walter added one. Kai Petrosky and Michael Hurtado combined for the shutout.

Girls soccer

Conemaugh Township 8, Berlin Brothersvalley 2: Ashlyn Fetterman delivered three goals and two assists in a commanding win over the Mountaineers.

Izzy Slezak added two goals, and Briar Berkey had a goal and an assist for Conemaugh Township. Addie Miller and Emily Purdy each added a goal. Alexa Gardenhour chipped in two assists, and Katie Wiley had one.

McKenzie Rankin and Cheylee Troutman scored for Berlin.

Altoona 8, Somerset 2: Kamryn Ross and Elise McCoy each had a goal and assist for the Golden Eagles in a setback to the Mountain Lions.

Raisa Seslow made 28 saves for Somerset.

Volleyball

Somerset 3, Chestnut Ridge 0: Reagan Holmes tallied 10 kills and four blocks to lift the Golden Eagles over the Lions 25-17, 25-12, 25-15.

Abby Ledney recorded eight kills and seven digs while Eve Housley provided nine digs, eight kills and four aces for Somerset. Emily Rush dished out 28 assists and three aces, and Thressa Ledney added five kills.

Conemaugh Township 3, Windber 1: Ava Byer contributed 20 assists and 12 digs to help Conemaugh Township past the Ramblers 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Madee Roman recorded 15 assists and 11 kills while Sarah Swank added 12 kills and four aces for Conemaugh Township. Brianna Shetler had 11 digs.

Liliana Grillo totaled 20 assists, 19 service points and four kills while Maggie Manippo added 11 service points, 15 digs and four kills for Windber. Skylee Miller had 13 service points and 12 digs, and Autumn Walz collected 12 service points and nine kills. Camryn Brady had 10 service points and three blocks.

North Star 3, Everett 0: Brooke Cannin tallied 12 service points and 11 kills to help the Cougars past the Warriors 25-12, 25-11, 25-7.

Aidan Barnick chipped in 17 assists, 16 service points and seven aces while Olivia Flesher added 13 service points for North Star.

Meyersdale 3, Shade 2: Sarah Hainsworth racked up 29 kills and four blocks to help the Red Raiders past the Panthers 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 19-17.

Isabella Sleasman had 22 assists and Karleigh Beal added 16 for Meyersdale. Kyleigh Blough provided 11 kills and four blocks while Kendell Donaldson added 14 digs.

Deborah Bozovich led Shade with 20 kills while Kennedy Landis added 12 kills and seven blocks. Jaedyn Krupper dished out 31 assists and Lowen Mincek added 19. Zoe Ketchock had 10 kills.

Berlin Brothersvalley 3, Salisbury-Elk Lick 0: Elena Ritchey delivered 10 kills and Lexi Foor added seven to lead the Mountaineers past the Elks 25-8, 25-17, 25-19.

Lexi Fairman tallied 19 assists, and Cayley Poorbaugh served up seven aces.

Girls soccer

Conemaugh Township 4, Westmont Hilltop 0: Izzy Slezak netted two goals, and Ashlyn Fetterman added a goal and two assists in a triumph over the Hilltoppers.

Olivia Mauzy scored a goal and Briar Berkey provided an assist.
