Senior Rowan Holmes rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns to propel Somerset past winless Penns Valley 56-42 in a shootout on Friday.
The Golden Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak.
Somerset (3-5) led 14-0 after one on a touchdown run by Holmes and a 62-yard touchdown pass from Colt Hagans to Cole Parry.

There were 42 total points scored in the second frame.
Hagans delivered his second TD pass of the game on a 75-yard strike to Carson Sanner. Holmes added his second rushing score of the game from 9 yards out to give Somerset a 28-7 lead.
After Penns Valley cut into the Somerset lead, Carter Dunmyer took the ensuing kickoff 85 yards to paydirt.
The Golden Eagles led 35-21 at the break.

Holmes scored from 3 yards out and Drew Miller added a 40-yard touchdown run to extend Somerset's lead to 49-35 after three. Miller tallied 127 yards on 17 carries.
Sanner added a 10-yard touchdown run in the fourth and the Golden Eagles held on for a victory.
Meyersdale bewilders Brownsville
Meyersdale scored 35 first-half points to earn a commanding 42-8 non-conference victory over Brownsville.
Karter Schurg caught four passes for 130 yards and scored three total touchdowns. He had touchdown grabs of 36 and 51 yards as well as a 42-yard punt return for a score.

Caleb Sines tallied touchdown runs of 8 and 33 yards on the night. He finished with 74 yards on the ground. Junior quarterback Lance Jones went 6-for-9 passing for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Cooper Porter added a touchdown run for Meyersdale. The Red Raiders were lights out on defense, led by Connor Brenneman's 12 tackles.
Meyersdale (4-4) hosts Everett on Friday.
Conemaugh Township drops 3rd straight
Northern Cambria senior quarterback Ty Dumm accounted for four touchdowns to send the Colts past Conemaugh Township 42-21 on Friday.
Dumm racked up 207 rushing yards and a touchdown, 124 passing yards and two TDs as well as a pick-six.
Conemaugh Township only trailed 13-7 at the break. Junior running back Brennan Lohr recorded a 2-yard touchdown run in the second to even things at 7 apiece before the Colts regained the lead.
Northern Cambria (7-1) notched 22 points in the third to take a commanding 35-14 lead after three. Lohr, who finished with 130 yards on the ground, added his second TD of the game on a 3-yard run in the quarter.
Conemaugh Township's Cayden Dail scored from 5 yards out in the fourth to set the final.
Conemaugh Township visits Conemaugh Valley (1-7) on Friday.
