Although official results will not be available for several days, it was not difficult to see who won the majority of races in the Mississippi Presidential Primary Election Tuesday in Lincoln County.

On the Democratic ticket, President Joe Biden was the only option for the office, just as Donald Trump was the only Republican option. Both therefore won their respective primaries.

The No Labels Political Party has gained ballot access in Mississippi for the November General Election, but has not yet announced a candidate.

Independent candidates have until Sept. 4 in Mississippi to file candidacy for the office of president.

In Lincoln County, Ty Pinkins advanced as the Democratic nominee for Senate, and Rep. Michael Guest advanced as the race for House of Representatives, District 3 on the Republican ticket. Incumbent Roger Wicker won the Republican Primary against two challengers.

    Of Lincoln County’s 26,010 registered voters, 4,736 participated in Tuesday’s Primary — 18 percent.

Total votes in the county were:

    Democrat:

    President: Biden, 826

    Senate: Pinkins, 698

    Republican:

    President: Trump, 3,685; others, 179

    House: Guest, 3,729

    Senate: Wicker, 2,798; Burton, 592; Eubanks, 475

For unofficial results by precinct: Democrat , Republican , overall .
