    Lincoln County event venue applies for liquor license

    FAIR RIVER — The Hideaway at Reeds Estate is known for its use as an event venue for weddings and banquets in Lincoln County. It might be soon known for having a liquor license.

    A public notice written by owner Bernard Reed states the members of Hideaway at Reeds Estate intend to apply for a liquor license. The permit would be for Hideaway at Reeds Estate located at 950 Pleasant Grove Drive SE, Monticello.

    Anyone who wishes to request a hearing to object to the issuance of this permit must request for a hearing in writing. The written request must be received by the Department of Revenue within 15 days of the first date of publication of the public notice. Requests must be sent to Chief Counsel, Legal Division Department of Revenue, P.O. Box 22828 Jackson, MS 39225.

    The notice’s first date of publication is March 20.

    The Hideaway at Reeds Estate does not currently possess a liquor license according to the Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Control under the Department of Revenue.

    Lincoln County is a dry county so The Hideaway at Reeds Estate is applying for a license under a resort status.
