BROOKHAVEN — A new sign on display at the Brookhaven Save-A-Lot announced the store will close and have discounted products this month. It is of note that Save-A-Lot corporate office has not provided any official comment on the closing of the Brookhaven store.

According to a sign posted at the Save-A-Lot, located at 840 Brookway Boulevard, the store will indeed close and informs customers they can shop at their store in Pearl after the last day of business.  Save-A-Lot’s closure will leave Brookhaven with two grocery stores, Sullivans and Walmart at this time.

The store will officially close on April 27 according to the sign. Frozen, Dairy, Grocery and Packaged meat department products are 25 percent off right now.

Readers asked if ALDI had planned to move into the space and what will happen to Five-Below’s plans to come to Brookhaven. ALDI gave an update Friday afternoon , after this story was published online.
