Boise State's Ashton Jeanty trying to run away with Heisman - and records
If Ashton Jeanty keeps up his current pace much longer, Boise State's star running back can start turning his focus to bigger historical achievements because the Heisman Trophy may already be in the bag. After amassing more than 200 rushing yards for the third time in six games this season, Jeanty's Heisman Trophy odds at DraftKings shortened from +225 to +160. It helped that Colorado lost, contributing to two-way star Travis Hunter seeing his odds dip from +300 to +1200. But it was much more about Jeanty, who leads the nation with 1,248 yards and 17 touchdowns on just 126...

Sean Payton has coached numerous players who have returned to play against their former teams in the NFL, and he acknowledged it will be "unique" when he enters the Caesars Superdome as a visitor on Thursday night. Payton patrolled those sidelines as the New Orleans Saints' head coach from 2006-21, guiding the franchise to its lone title in Super Bowl XLIV. After a year working as a studio analyst, Payton took the reins of the Denver Broncos in 2023. He returns to the Big Easy in what shapes up as an important Week 7 game for both teams. The Broncos...
Commanders DT Jonathan Allen has torn pec, likely done for season
Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen has a torn left pectoral muscle that will end his season and likely require surgery, head coach Dan Quinn said Monday. Allen sustained the injury in the Commanders' 30-23 loss Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens and was ruled out of the game in the fourth quarter. He had an MRI on Monday and will get a second opinion before the final decision is made, according to media reports. "It's a big blow for us," Quinn told reporters. "Jon Allen's obviously been a staple player here and the play style and the attitude. ... We're...
Nick Sirianni sorry for jawing with Eagles fans
Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni changed course Monday and apologized for getting into it with a group of fans as his team finished off a win over the visiting Cleveland Browns. The Eagles had trouble pulling away from the woeful Browns, and fans were heard booing the team and chanting "Fire Nick" at certain points of the game. As Philadelphia (3-2) ran out the clock on a 20-16 victory over Cleveland (1-5), the FOX broadcast caught Sirianni walking in the direction of the stands. With a smile, he was yelling and pointing to one ear, as if to say he...

Six games into the Raheem Morris era in Atlanta, the Falcons' high-powered offense has helped put them in the driver's seat of the NFC South. The team's 4-2 start is the best for the franchise since 2016, the year Atlanta reached Super Bowl LI. The Falcons are fresh off three straight wins over divisional foes following Sunday's 38-20 road victory against the Carolina Panthers. Atlanta's 38 points were its most since Nov. 29, 2020 in a 43-6 home win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Much of the reason for the offensive explosion on Sunday was the Falcons' running game. Tyler...

The Chicago Bears signed Robertson-Harris as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He has 198 career tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, 66 QB hits, 13 passes defended and one fumble recovery in 106 games (62 starts).
