OHSAA GIRLS LACROSSE TOURNAMENT

Wooster 17, Avon Lake 11

Wooster picked up a playoff win to advance to the Division II Region 5 quarterfinals.

Three players — Jay-Cee Hackett (5), Carolyn Green (4) and Kylie Timko (4) — scored at least four goals as the Generals opened their postseason action with a win.

Amber Street also added a pair of goals and Amelia Correll and Emily Williams scored as well. Timko added two assists while Sophie Burianek made seven saves in goal.
